jamal edwards, raised in acton, west london. founder of sbtv and prince's trust ambassador.
sometimes you only really know the impact a person had on others when they pass away. this is true for the story of jamal edwards.
he was the founder of sbtv which was the real first gateway for undiscovered musicians to get content out to the masses. he helped many great names start their career.
i also saw the impact he had on young individuals. one of my old jobs was working with the princes trust to help get more young people into a banking career. because jamal was an ambassador i became familiar with him, having conversations with the young people about him - he was an mentor to so many, directly and indirectly and it's fair to say he's left his mark on london but also left a hole.
jamal edwards deserves a chapter in his own right.
